Burchfield Guitars
This project is the most intricate inlay job I've done. The headstock overlay is rosewood and the logo is sterling silver. The swallow tailed kite is made up of 90 pieces of black pearl, white mother of pearl, Abalone shell, and gold pearl.
I first met Scott Davis owner of Empowered Creations a few years ago when I decided to make guitars as my primary business. Wanting to find a professional who could use skills and artistic ability to interpret my inlay desires into designs and repeatable, affordable creations, I contacted Scott. He was able to interpret my sterling silver headstock name into a beautiful finished product with matching position markers.
We then moved on to an affordable mother of pearl and abalone swallow tail kite that had the beauty of custom hand work. Scott, with his immense skills in machinery and artistic interpretive skills, transformed my picture into a work of art which will become part of my continuing headstock design. Next Scott and I will work on a project whereby he will design and execute a shell tree of life vine inlay for my fingerboards.

Scott can also deliver custom woodwork and metal work, such as producing guitar parts and custom fingerboards to specs, slotting, and tapering.
